Q. Do I need to work in the store?
Yes! It’s important that you understand all aspects of operating a New Zealand Natural shop. Once you are comfortable in the business and the store is operating smoothly, then it’s possible that you can reduce the number of days/hours your working on the floor.
Q. What are the weekly fees for being part of the franchise?
The franchise royalty is 6% of weekly net sales. The contribution to the marketing fund is 3% of weekly net sales.
Q. Are there any upfront costs to join the franchise?
There is a new franchise fee of $5,000 to join the franchise network, plus a training fee of $2,500. Additionally, you will have your own costs such as legal fees and accounting costs. There may be other fees involved, however we will work closely with you on a setup budget.
Q. How long is the training program for new store owners?
Our training program is 1 week before you take over your store plus a day of classroom training. We will then spend 2 weeks with you after you take over. This ensures you have someone right next to you, training and coaching you for the first 3 weeks.
Q. Is there any ongoing support?
Absolutely. We have dedicated operations managers who look after a small patch of stores each. They're on call to provide you with training around operating the business, marketing, finance and staff management.
WHAT YOU NEED
As a minimum, you’ll need access to at least $75,000 to purchase the business. This takes into account the purchase price, stock, franchise and training fees, and working capital. A full breakdown of costs and funds required can be provided on application.
